NanoFlock™ refill for 30 inch floor coaters, the widest head in the line. A densely flocked applicator pad built for waterborne and mild solvent based floor finishes, where the requirement is a smooth, lint free coat rather than raw speed alone.

What the flocked surface does

The pad face carries an enormous number of short fibres standing upright, which behaves very differently from a woven nap. It holds a large reservoir of finish and releases it gradually and evenly, so the film goes down flat and stays flat. That is what suppresses the two defects that ruin a clear coat: streaking, where the pad runs dry mid pass, and bubbles, which cure into the surface and cannot be polished out afterwards. At 30 inches the pad has to carry enough finish to cross a warehouse or gymnasium span in one continuous pass, so reservoir capacity is the whole reason this width works at all, and it is why a worn pad should be changed between coats rather than pushed through another one.
