Northern Applicators is the applicator engineering company behind four brands serving coating professionals in four industries. Founded on the acquired assets of Padco, the Minneapolis manufacturer that invented the paint pad in the 1960s and became the industry standard for professional floor finish applicators. Northern Applicators continues to produce the applicators the market has come to depend on, and extends the same manufacturing discipline into three new sectors.

We engineer applicators, not paint sundries. Every product is designed around a specific coating chemistry, surface geometry, and professional workflow. Foam formulations matched to solvent and waterborne finishes. Chemistry-safe frames and handles. Fiber systems calibrated for stipple-free films. The same principles that made the Padco T-Bar the standard for hardwood floor finish now serve aerospace, marine, and professional auto detailing.
