Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using this site or purchasing products from Northern Applicators.

1. Who we are

This site is owned and operated by Northern Applicators Corp., a Minnesota corporation located at 3501 Broadway St NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413 (referred to as "Northern Applicators," "we," "our," or "us"). We manufacture and sell precision applicator systems under the TruCoat, AeroSpec, Dockline, and TR1 brands.

By accessing the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2. Business and consumer sales

Northern Applicators sells primarily to trade buyers, including contractors, distributors, coating manufacturers, aerospace and defense procurement, marine specifiers, and professional detailers. We also sell directly to consumers through this site. These Terms apply to all buyers unless a separate written agreement between you and Northern Applicators controls (for example, a trade account agreement, master purchase agreement, or distributor agreement). In case of conflict, the separate written agreement controls for the transactions it covers.

3. Site use

You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes and only to browse, request quotes, or place orders. You will not:

Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any content, images, or product data without written permission
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site, our systems, or other users' accounts
Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or index the site beyond what is permitted by our robots.txt
Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any company or organization
Interfere with the site's operation or with any other user's use of the site

We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or terminate accounts at our discretion.

4. Orders and acceptance

Placing an order through the site is an offer to purchase. Your order is not accepted until we confirm shipment. We may decline or cancel any order for any reason, including:

Product unavailability
Errors in pricing or product description
Suspected fraud or misuse
Buyer's failure to meet trade account requirements
Shipping destination restrictions

If we cancel an order, we will refund any payment already collected.

5. Pricing and payment

Prices displayed on the site are in US dollars and do not include applicable taxes, shipping, or handling. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. The price that applies to your order is the price displayed at the time we accept the order.

Payment is due at the time of order for consumer sales. Trade account customers may qualify for net terms under a separately executed agreement. We accept the payment methods listed at checkout. You represent that any payment method you use is authorized for your use.

6. Shipping and title

Shipping methods, timing, and costs are described at checkout. Title to products passes to you when we deliver them to the carrier at our facility (FOB shipping point), and risk of loss passes to you at the same time. We are not responsible for damage or loss in transit; claims should be made against the carrier.

7. Returns and refunds

Our return and refund policy is part of these Terms and is available at northernapplicators.com/policies/refund-policy.

8. Product use, warnings, and industrial application

Northern Applicators products are professional-grade applicators intended for use with specific coating chemistries in specific environments. You are responsible for:

Selecting the correct applicator for your coating chemistry and substrate
Following the coating manufacturer's application instructions
Using appropriate personal protective equipment
Complying with all applicable safety, environmental, and workplace regulations
Verifying suitability for aerospace, marine, or other regulated applications through your own testing and certification processes

Product specifications, chemistry compatibility, and application guidance are provided in good faith but do not constitute a warranty of fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Limited warranty

Northern Applicators warrants that products sold through this site will be free from defects in materials and workmanship at the time of shipment. Our sole obligation under this warranty is, at our option, to replace defective product or refund the purchase price. To make a warranty claim, contact us within thirty (30) days of receipt at warranty@northernapplicators.com with your order number and a description of the defect.

This warranty does not cover

Damage from misuse, improper storage, or use outside the product's intended application
Damage from incompatible coating chemistries
Finish quality of the applied coating (this depends on the coating manufacturer's product and the applicator operator)
Normal wear on refillable components (foam pads, rollers, and applicator refills)
Products modified, altered, or repaired by anyone other than Northern Applicators

Except for the limited warranty above, all products are sold "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Northern Applicators disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law

Northern Applicators is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the site or products, including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or damage to other property.

Our total liability for any claim related to a product or transaction is limited to the amount you paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.

11. Intellectual property

All content on this site, including text, images, product photography, logos, brand names (Northern Applicators, TruCoat, AeroSpec, Dockline, TR1), trademarks (including Nylfoam®, NanoFlock™), and the sixty-year Padco heritage marks acquired by Northern Applicators, is the property of Northern Applicators Corp. or its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our written permission.

12. Third-party links and services

The site may link to third-party sites or use third-party services (payment processing, analytics, shipping carriers, coating manufacturers). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of third-party sites or services.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Your continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.

14. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the site will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hennepin County, Minnesota. You consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.
