This is the same coating performance without a handle attached. The Bigfoot™ ships with a fixed one piece 60 inch steel handle, which is ideal if you want one tool that is always ready. This model takes the pole you choose, which is the better buy if you already own poles, if you want to change working length between a tight bathroom and an open floor, or if you need the head to pack down for transport between jobs.

How it lays the finish

The cushioned squeegee action floats a measured film rather than dragging finish across the surface, which is what produces a smooth coat free of streaks and bubbles instead of one that has to be corrected on the next pass.

Heavyweight applies a thinner mil thickness

Weighted to control coating thickness, and the naming is counterintuitive. This heavyweight model presses the pad harder and lays down a thinner film; the lightweight version applies a thicker one. On a large floor this control is often the point: a thin, even build coat across a warehouse span is harder to achieve than a thick one, and easier to get wrong. At 12 inches this is the width for hallways, bathrooms, closets and stair landings, and for cutting in the perimeter of a floor you will finish with a wider head.
