A 6 inch Snappy paint pad applicator, supplied in a retail display carton.

What the pad does

A paint pad carries a full load of paint on a flat face and lays it down as an even film across a wide path. Compared with a brush it covers ground far faster and leaves no bristle marks. Compared with a roller it throws no spatter and holds a straight edge, so you can run a clean line against trim, a ceiling or an adjoining colour without masking first.

Snap in pad, quick change

The pad is held by spring clips on the head rather than glued or permanently fixed, so a spent or colour loaded pad comes out and a fresh one goes in without tools. That matters most when changing colours mid job: swapping the pad is faster than washing one out, and a pad that has been washed and dried repeatedly never lays paint quite as evenly again.
