When woven is the right pad

Viscosity is the deciding factor. A thick or tacky coating loads into a deep nap and then releases unpredictably, which shows up as drag marks and uneven build. The shorter woven nap meters a heavier material more consistently, so the film goes down flat.

The other reason to choose woven is durability. The fabric is sturdy and resists shedding, which matters twice over with solvent based products: solvents are harder on a pad than water, and any fibre left behind in an oil finish stays visible once cured. For waterborne and mild solvent finishes where a flawless lint free surface is the priority, choose Nylfoam® instead.

Fit and use

Fits 30 inch T-bar floor coaters, the widest head in the line. On warehouse and sports floors with a heavy solvent based coating, shed resistance is the specification that matters most: at this width a single shedding pad can contaminate a very large area before anyone notices.
