Bigfoot™ Floor Coater, Heavyweight 24"
Description
T-bar floor coaters are the industry standard for applying floor coatings, and the Bigfoot™ is the professional tool for covering ground quickly. Rated for roughly 10,000 square feet per hour on hardwood, concrete, stone, tile and vinyl.
Twenty four inches is a commercial width. It comes into its own on open spans where the limiting factor is how fast you can walk: retail floors, offices, function rooms and gymnasiums. Fewer passes means fewer wet edges to keep alive, which is what protects the finish on a large floor.
What separates a coater from a mop or roller is the cushioned squeegee action. Rather than dragging finish across the surface, the pad floats a measured film and lays it down flat, which is what produces a coat free of streaks and bubbles instead of one that needs correcting on the next pass.
Heavyweight applies a thinner coat, not a heavier one
Weighted to control coating thickness, and the naming is counterintuitive. This heavyweight model presses the pad harder and lays down a thinner film. The lightweight version applies a thicker one. Choose heavyweight when a specification calls for a controlled thin coat, when you are laying a sealer or an even build coat, or when too much material would cloud or slow the cure. Supplied with a one piece heavy duty 60 inch steel handle attached to the T bar, so there is no pole to source separately and no joint to work loose mid job.
