Why edging with the same pad matters

Change tools at the wall and you change how the material goes down. The border then cures differently from the rest of the floor and reads as a frame around the room once light falls across it. Keeping the same flocked surface from the wall to the field keeps the film consistent.

The flocked face

A densely flocked surface holds a large reservoir of finish and releases it gradually, which is what keeps a pass even from start to end and suppresses the streaking and bubbling that show up under a clear coat. It is rated for waterborne and mild solvent based finishes, and the handle accepts a standard threaded extension pole, so it works in close by hand or at reach on a pole. Six inches is the control size, for tight rooms, closets, stair treads, and perimeter work on a floor finished with a wider coater.
